Why ForceLoop

ForceLoop delivers proven, stable non-linear force reproduction on an industrial mechatronics platform, giving simulator operators the performance they need for Level D qualification with the long-term reliability and worldwide supportability of standardised industrial components.

Founded by engineers with decades of experience designing, commissioning, and maintaining control loading systems, we know first-hand how difficult they are to service and how long they take to integrate and tune. We built ForceLoop to solve that, combining high-fidelity force feel with genuine industrial reliability.

Trusted performance,
Future-proof reliability.

  • Long lifecycle support, reduced obsolescence risk
  • No proprietary lock-in on spares or firmware

The ForceLoop System

ForceLoop is a modular electric control loading system built on purpose-designed industrial servo mechatronics with deterministic EtherCAT communication. Each control axis operates as an independent channel: sensing, actuation, real-time control, and safety in a tightly integrated unit.

The industrial platform reduces mechanical complexity through tight motor-drive integration, while delivering the deterministic performance required for Level D force reproduction.

Control Feel You Can Trust

Realistic feel that remains stable, repeatable, and easy to maintain.

  • Stable across the operating envelope
  • Consistent over time, power cycles, and servicing
  • Predictable commissioning and tuning

Higher-Order Dynamics

Beyond the basic force-feel primitives, the feel model reproduces subtle mechanical behaviours that pilots perceive: linkage flex, freeplay, and control surface dynamics.

Built on Industrial Foundations

Long-term reliability depends as much on component choices as it does on control design. ForceLoop is developed in Australia and built on Beckhoff industrial automation hardware, manufactured in Germany and available globally through Beckhoff's established distribution network.

A minimal set of standardised actuator types covers all applications (primary axes, secondary axes, and multi-turn), dramatically simplifying spare parts inventory for operators while ensuring worldwide availability.

Designed for Long-Term Ownership

  • Global availability: parts and expertise worldwide
  • Field serviceable: modular, no special tooling
  • Vendor independence: no proprietary lock-in
  • Reduced obsolescence: long industrial lifecycle
  • Standardised spares: minimal actuator types cover all axes

Applications

Aviation training systems, including:

  • Full-flight simulators
  • Fixed-wing and rotary-wing training devices
  • Military and civilian platforms

The same architectural principles extend naturally to other high-fidelity human-in-the-loop training systems where reliability and control feel are critical.

Integration & Qualification

ForceLoop integrates with third-party simulator hosts over standard Ethernet, with high-performance libraries and a well-defined protocol for host communication.

Designed to support Level D qualification under FAA and EASA regulatory frameworks, with clear diagnostics, full configuration control, and comprehensive test artefacts.

Beyond hardware, Forceloop provides consulting and integration services from initial specification through commissioning and qualification, whether you are building a new simulator or upgrading an existing one.
